Back from DragonCon!

Now that I’m back, I’ll try to get to posting the things that I saw at and built for DragonCon. What will take the longest is that I’ll have to work on some write ups for the projects.

As of this moment I’m working on all the pictures I took. I didn’t take as many as I did last year. This was due mostly to the fact that I was in the parade thus depending on others to cover the awesomeness.

Keep an eye out. More to come soon!

Bad Professor, no cookie!

Yes, I know I’ve been lax in posting. Yes, I know I have said anything about any projects I’m working on. What can I say.

I’m going to try to post more, but that requires time. Hopefully with Dragon Con coming up I’ll finish some of the projects and post the results.

Workshop Aftermath

The crew of the airship Revenger and I went to a steampunk workshop down in Trussville, AL. last weekend. It was hosted by a lady steamer who was kind enough to open her home to all who were willing to come. And let me tell you, there were plenty of people who showed up!

Steamers traveled from as far as Florida and Mississippi to as close as down the street. Where ever they came from all displayed their ideas, finished or not. I myself went home with some ideas to ponder on.

All there agreed that something like this needs to happen again. As to who will be the next host? Hopefully we will find out soon.

Clockwork Cotillion Follow-up

Well, now that the Clockwork Cotillion is over I feel that I can resume with my missives again.

Things turned out well at the Cotillion. There was plenty of good food, good people, and good conversation. A good time was had by all, especially your truly. We even managed to dance for a little while.

Hopefully there will be more events like this in the future.

(I should have some pictures up in an undetermined time frame)

Enjoy!

The website are a-changin’

There is nothing wrong with your browser. Do not attempt to adjust the settings. I am now tweaking the website. I am tweaking the vertical and the horizontal. You are now experiencing… Phalin’s Workshop.

If the blog looks a little weird in the next few days, don’t worry. I’m playing with the layout to see what works and what doesn’t. Hopefully I’ll have it settled by the weekend.

Photos from the Train Depot online

For those who waited with baited breath, wait no longer!
